Synergy Appoints Joe Low and Jacqueline Ang to Fuel APAC Expansion
New hires across APAC business development and supply chain management add to Synergy’s growing regional investment
Singapore, SG, July 19, 2022 — Synergy Global Housing (Synergy), a leader in serviced accommodation programme management, announced the addition of Joe Low, Director of Sales, and Jacqueline Ang, Supply Chain Director, to its team of seasoned APAC mobility experts, a move that will further strengthen the company’s growth across the region. Both Joe and Jaqueline will be based out of Synergy’s APAC headquarters in Singapore.
A significant organisational milestone for Synergy, the company will now have APAC in-region sales representation for the first time through the appointment of Director of Sales, Joe Low.
Joe brings an impressive 20-plus years of experience in business development across the international hospitality space. Most recently serving as Director of Sales for Oakwood Worldwide and prior management roles at Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, The Langham Hotels and Resorts, Mandarin Oriental and Marriott. Joe will report to Vice President, Sales, APAC, EMEA and U.S. East, Claire Barrie, where his key responsibilities will see him focus on growing innovative, end-to-end client partnerships and broadening the Synergy APAC footprint.
Joe’s appointment is meaningful for Synergy”, said Claire Barrie. “As we continue to expand our global and local boots-on-the-ground initiative, Joe’s tenacious approach to building strategic client partnerships will see him push the boundaries of our clients’ business travel and mobility programmes in APAC. I know what Joe is capable of and I’m ecstatic to see what we can achieve together”.
Jacqueline Ang’s appointment as Supply Chain Director, APAC, comes during a period of major investment into Synergy’s APAC supply chain strategy. She joins Synergy just months after Michelle Low, Global Vice President, Supply Chain, was brought on board to lead the company’s overall global supply chain strategy from Singapore. Jacqueline brings with her 12 years of experience within the alternative accommodation industry having started her career as a client counsellor with Oakwood.
Since then, she has held senior positions at Oakwood, Switchplace and National Corporate Housing, where she gained a plethora of experience across supply chain and operations management. Jacqueline will report directly into Michelle Low where she will specialise in strengthening Synergy’s supplier partner relationships in Asia.
Jacqueline is exactly the type of leader Synergy needs to continue driving its global expansion goals”, Michelle Low said. “Her robust experience in global supply chain management, coupled with her operations mindset, will see her act as a key influencer in shoring up Synergy’s growing presence on the ground in APAC. We’re delighted to have her on board”.
In addition to bolstering key leadership, the company continues to add staff at all levels to support the exponential business growth in the APAC region.
